As Great as it gets. Went there today had a wonderful time and the food was so TASTY !!!! The place has plenty of parking and is clean nice and cozy. The workers are friendly but most of all the good is really good.

The food is excellent. I was craving pork chops smothered in gravy!! I was not disappointed!! Highly recommend.

Landed at Newark airport and was craving some southern food. Went here and I got the turkey meat loaf, mac and cheese along with collard greens, corn bread and sweet potato pie. I enjoyed everything but the turkey best loaf. They had lamb chops that I shouldn't went with. I will be back and I will order a wider variety of items. Customer service was great, atmosphere felt like my moms kitchen / eating area. I recommend this place

Went for breakfast. Maybe 3rd time, but haven't been here in a while. Husband and I ordered the same thing. Salmon cakes and grits. So so good. The salmon cakes were delicious, not greasy. Gotta get there more often.

Local, with soul. We love this place for a couple of reasons. It's not fancy, the ambience reminds us of home growing up. You literally smell the Mac and cheese as you wait, and sometimes the tv is loud enough to distract the wait time. We love it. The food is good, filling and comes in a heavy portion, so definitely go on an empty stomach. We've been a couple of times and we will go again. Highly recommend you give them a shot!

Now listen, i do not go up for ANYONE'S cornbread except my mom's. In my multiple decades on this earth, I have yet to experience anyone's cornbread being better, just as good, or even merely comparable. Having said that, Tastey's cornbread is GOOD!! it's soft and light, not hard & dark/burnt. I love Tastey's! Both the food AND service are top tier! True southern cuisine and hospitality. If you know, you know! If you are aware and quite fond of the former local soul food staples John's Restaurant and/or Steward's Restaurant... Tastey's will take you there! Pure 90s nostalgia in every fork/spoonful of deliciousness. EVERYTHING is good!! I wasn't too crazy about the flavor/seasoning on the chicken wings - it could benefit from more of... something. Other than that, excellent all around. 5 stars well deserved! Ms. Gayle (the owner) is super sweet and polite. I've gone twice in one week. And I'll be back again lol Tip: If you dine in, it's quaint, clean, and there are antibacterial hand wipes on each table.

First time ordering. .foid was really good ( especially the greens and yams)...will definitely be ordering again
